This is a story in three parts, a road trip, hard labor, and spiritual journey.

Arriving at Ste. Genevieve on a hot Thursday evening in June, the group was a little nervous when they saw the work to be done. But there were people with us to keep us on track. When the second day ended we had painted all the Sunday School rooms and a large nursery that the church had asked us to paint, we were treated to a pizza party, and found out how to cover the walls and not the painters.

 

We worshiped in the host church and led the singing of Servant song during the service.

 

Then it was off to St. Louis on our way home. We went to the Zoo and had dinner out. We also visited the St. Louis City Museum.

 

We worked hard and played hard. Each night we ended with devotions. This was our time to discuss the day and explore how we were answering God’s Call. 

 

This is a story with a happy ending, and we would do it again.
