Members of First Presbyterian are volunteers of high quality. They actively support local missions and places far away from Seventh and Jules. They work at the Food Kitchen, Meals on Wheels, Faith in Action in addition to helping others beyond our city limits. They also serve on local boards like the United Way, Red Cross, Salvation Army and other social service organizations to lend their support and expertise. 

In addition First Presbyterian receives six special offerings each year: Blanket and Tool Sunday which makes blankets and tools available to people in developing countries; One Great Hour of Sharing which supports local and global hunger and disaster relief programs; Pentecost which supports ministries with children and youth; Peacemaking which supports global and local efforts to create a non-violent world; CROP which is also a hunger program; and Christmas Joy which supports retired ministers, missionaries, and racial ethnic schools.
