Ever since the Meals on Wheels program started First Church members have been involved in this mission to take meals to people who need nourishing meals brought to their door.

Besides providing food to individuals on a daily basis, the service also provides a daily contact for people who are homebound. Sometimes this is the only person they see in 24 hours.

We deliver meals to shut ins every Wednesday of the month.  Delivery takes about an hour to deliver to the 17 homes on our route.

Our reward comes when we see their smiles and hear their thank you when we place their noon meal in their hands.
