First Thursday Downtown Noontime Concert Series
The noontime concert series is presented by the First Presbyterian Church in cooperation with the Missouri Western State University Department of Music and with financial assistance from the Commerce Bank of St. Joseph. The concerts are held on the first Thursday of each month September through April with the exception of January. The series was begun in 1999 and is now in it's 19th Season!
The audience is invited to bring lunch and eat while listening to the performance beginning at 12:10 and lasting about 35 minutes in the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church, 7th & Jules. There will be an opportunity to meet the performer(s) after the concert. In order to meet expenses and to insure the continuation of the series, a minimum donation of four dollars per person is suggested.

Sep. 7 - L'Air Vivant with Kelly Misko, french horn, Danielle Bargar, soprano, & Ellen Sommer, piano
Oct. 5 - James Albright, double bass with Kathleen Holeman, piano
Nov. 2 - MWSU Student Chamber Musians, Rico McNeela, coordinator
Dec. 7 - MWSU Faculty Jazz Group, Bob Long, coordinator
(No Concert in January)
Feb. 1 - Jerry L. Anderson, piano
Mar. 1 - Steve Molloy, trumpet, with Ellen Sommer, piano
Apr. 5 - Paul Hindemith, baritone, with Nathanael May, piano
