Adult Classes
Adult Classes
Christian Nurture and education are a lifelong journey. At First Presbyterian Church we seek to hold forth the word of life through lifelong education.
There are many ways for adults to participate in Christian Education:
Wednesday Night Lights:
At WNL, we offer two different adult classes which run on a six week rotation schedule. We offer three areas of classes: Bible and Theology; faith and personal application (parenting classes, personal finance classes, grief classes); and faith and popular culture. In 2010-2011 we offered classes such as: World Religions; Parenting with Love and Logic; Faith and Film; a book study of the novel The Shack; Grieving Losses; Sustainable Living; Funeral planning; Conversational Spanish; Guatemala Experience; BBQ-U; and Seeing Gray in a World of Black and White. See our Wednesday Night Lights page for the current schedule.
Sunday Morning Adult Study
One or two small groups meet at 9:15am on Sunday morning to study the Bible and talk about faith. These topics change and there is always coffee!!
Wednesday Morning Bible Study:
This study is a straight reading of a book of the Bible. This study meets off campus - please call the church office for the location. The Bible study meet at 10:30am.
Sunday Evening Bible Study:
Sunday evening small group that meets at George & Ruth Fountain's home from 6:30pm - 8:00pm(ish). Each week we will take a look at bible passage that Krista will preach on the following Sunday and, using the African Method, we will explore how God is speaking to each of us personally through that passage.
